1. Booking a Service
Brilliant Brain Dyslexia ( also referred to as Brilliant Brain) provides tuition, coaching, dyslexia diagnostic assessments, dyslexia screenings and exam access arrangements assessments. When booking a service, we will require personal information such as your name, date of birth, and address. You may also need to complete relevant questionnaires and provide supporting documents to enhance the effectiveness of the service.
This information is essential for tailoring your assessment to your needs. Personal details will only be utilised by the assigned professional. Brilliant Brain values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data while using it responsibly.
A qualified assessor will deliver your service. While our assessments may lead to a dyslexia diagnosis, this cannot be guaranteed. (Please see Important Information in Section 5).
Regardless of the outcome, the assessment will provide insights into strengths and areas for improvement, along with actionable recommendations.

2. Payment Terms
Payments should be made on the date of booking via bank transfer or PayPal. Please use your full name as a reference e.g. JANE DOE

PLEASE NOTE: Diagnostic Assessments and Exam Access Arrangements will only be conducted once full payment is received.
3. Cancellation Policy
Cancelling a service.
If you need to cancel, please email us at BrilliantBrainDyslexia@outlook.com
• Cancellations made 14 days before the scheduled date will receive a 50% refund of the total cost.
• Cancellations with less than 14 days’ notice will not be refunded.
• If you fail to attend the appointment, the cost will not be refunded.
• In the event that severe weather or any other emergency results in the cancellation of the assessment.
Brilliant Brain will endeavor to give clients a minimum of 24 hours’ notice and reschedule the assessment.
4. Responsibilities of the Client
4.1 Provision of Information: The Client agrees to provide all necessary information and documentation required for the assessment in a timely manner.
4.2 Attendance: The Client agrees to attend the assessment at the scheduled time. If the Client is unable to attend, they must notify Brilliant Brain Dyslexia Services as soon as possible to reschedule. Please note the cancellation Policy in Section 3 above for details
4.3 Follow-up: The Client is responsible for following up on any recommendations provided in the assessment report, including arranging for any additional support or interventions if necessary.
5. Important Information
At Brilliant Brain Dyslexia , all assessments are conducted in strict accordance with the stringent guidelines set forth by the SpLD Assessment Standards Committee (SASC). Our assessor holds an Assessment Practising Certificate (APC), ensuring that each evaluation meets the highest standards of professionalism and accuracy. However, it is important to note that not all assessments will lead to a diagnosis, as individual learning profiles vary.
5.1 Diagnosis: Whilst our assessments will provide a detailed insight into an individual’s strengths and challenges, an assessment does not guarantee a diagnosis. Not all individuals assessed will receive a diagnosis of dyslexia, as learning difficulties vary by person.
5.2 Scope of Assessment: The assessment conducted by Brilliant Brain Dyslexia Services is designed to identify dyslexia and related learning difficulties. It is not a medical diagnosis. The Client should seek additional advice from a medical professional if there are concerns beyond the scope of the assessment.
5.3 Limitation of Liability: Brilliant Brain Dyslexia Services is not liable for any damages, losses, or consequences resulting from the diagnosis, lack of diagnosis, or any reliance on the information provided by our services.

6. Data Protection and Privacy
At Brilliant Brain, we are committed to handling your personal data responsibly, in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 (GDPR). Your information will be stored securely, Please email us if you would like a copy of our Privacy and Data Protection Policy.
During an assessment, it may be necessary for the assessor to make an audio recording of the individual’s responses to a particular test. This will allow the assessor to review responses when analysing the results. The recording will be deleted as soon as the report is sent to you (within 3 weeks from the date of the assessment).
We retain assessment reports and associated data:
• For individuals over 16: Data is kept for up to six years after the assessment.
• After this time Brilliant Brain will not be able to supply you with a copy of your assessment report. We strongly recommend that you keep a copy of your report securely.
• Once you have received a final assessment report all raw data test sheets will be permanently destroyed or anonymised.
7. Safeguarding
We prioritize the safety and protection of children and vulnerable individuals who use our services. Our Safeguarding Policy applies to all staff, and anyone working on behalf of Brilliant Brain Dyslexia Service. Please email us if you would like a copy of the policy.

8. Complaints
If you have concerns or complaints about your experience with Brilliant Brain or how we handle your personal information, please reach out to us so we can address the issue.
9. Agreement
